After the graduation, and a brief, but wonderful, visit with my dad in Northern California, I popped down to south of the border, to visit our teams and families in Tijuana. Pedro (right) is another “son like” that we look forward to seeing all that God is going to do in his life. VOB has supported his ministry as a worship leader. We now are helping him with commerce trucking school for international freight, which will help him support his family and qualify for a US visa to hopefully be able to visit us and be a part of Carol’s future worship leader gatherings. 

It was also good to see my buddy Vicente (left) whose kids, we are very proud of, and honored to have VOB help in their education and career interests. Vicente’s family continues to rally around Greg supporting the weekly food distribution ministry. Pray for Vicente as his sweet mama just went to heaven this past week.

One unexpected take away, was how honored and blessed I was to visit the Focus On The Family headquarters where our conference was hosted. The presence of the Lord and the honor of all that has been done in His Name was really very impacting to me. For nearly 50 years, FOTF has sown many seeds into very hard ground to stand for family the way God intended. Many departments striving for Biblical principles and not only reaching the lost, but helping them get equipped and stay victorious in Christ. One, in particular,  really touched me. A HELP line department, for prayer requests, messaged over a video monitor that staff pray for. A couple incoming messages, that I glanced over, while walking by, were intense…”I just scheduled an abortion and I really don’t want to do it”…”I have written out my suicide note but really fearful right now”. Sobering, to say the least! Use this link for into to the HELP LINE for perhaps yourself, a family member, or friend who really just might need an anonymous listener and prayer partner.  

UPCOMING TRAVEL: LITHUANIA 🇱🇹

Soon after you receive this letter in the mail, Wayne will be about to embark on his flight to Vilnius Lithuania. Many have asked – “where is that?” Lithuania is just above Poland in Eastern Europe and part of the Baltic States on the eastern shores of the Baltic Sea. Once occupied by Russia, today  Lithuania is an independent, sovereign nation. Interestingly, our one and only other time in EASTERN Europe is when Carol and Wayne first went to Moscow, Russia in 1994 just after graduating Bible College and still  mere newlyweds, married 16 months. 

Wayne along with leadership team will be leading a Living Waters training in Vilnius, which is the capital and, not only most populated city in Lithuania, but the most populous city in the Baltic States. The real blessing in going to minister to the ones who sign up for the training, will be getting to meet them in person. We have those who join the online programs that have been running for the past couple years. But as much as it is a blessing to have the nations come in to our VOB home office online each week, it is all the more blessing to visit them in person. And it means a lot to them as well. I would say a mutual blessing for all!
