VOB News June 2025 “South Carolina report”

May was a beautiful month for worship on the VOB calendar. I (Carol) have started leading an hour of worship every Monday night from 8-9pm, on the Global Tabernacle of David website.  It’s been a truly amazing time, altho obviously very different than leading in a room full of people.  Nevertheless, we do so, knowing that the Lord is being honored and, as we partner with Him thru worship and prayer, things are getting done in the Heavenly realm.

Last month I had the great privilege to attend the GtoD worship week, a gathering of worship leaders and intercessors from around the world. What a blessing to spend quality time with both seasoned, as well as newly minted worship leaders!  Our group worship sessions were very powerful and, once again, many things were accomplished in the Kingdom of GOD.  One of my favorite things, was to be able to teach on worship leading dynamics. I absolutely love teaching others these days!  I appreciate all that the Lord has taught me, and I am oh-so grateful to be able to pass that on and share with others. This is truly a joy.  I also appreciate the kind words of encouragement many gave to me, as Wayne and I start to move toward more ministry opportunities, after having settled in here in NC, a bit more. We have not stopped the Mexico work or our Native America mission, and will not!

Wayne just returned from a wonderful Living Waters training, where he and team had the privilege to lead in Incredible India (as our dear friend Kathleen calls the nation). He will share next month once he gets back in our time zone mentally and physically. Thank you for all your prayers of safety. He felt them!  Please join us in praying for the families of the many lives lost in the recent plane crash in India. Wayne’s return travel was the very same day. A sobering thought heavy on our hearts.

We would like to encourage you with the following:  You may never know what your efforts for the Lord have gained, here on earth. But be assured, one day, in Heaven, as a follower of Jesus, you will know and rejoice. Keep up the good work, brothers and sisters. “Do not grow weary in well doing, for in due time, you shall reap a reward.” Galatians 6:9

  • We have had a significant drop in our monthly support. Please consider a one-time gift or ongoing monthly support.
  • Continued prayer for worship doors to open, ongoing Mexico work, continued opportunities with Living Waters, and more opportunities to minister in our new community.
  • For Carol’s mom, as she comes to stay with us for another extended visit. She is 93!

VOB News December 2024 “Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah”

One of our Godson’s and his wife (our claimed Goddaughter) are expecting their second baby girl, just after Christmas. As their family and we all anticipate her arrival, I think of the anticipation of baby Jesus’ arrival.

What must that have been like? Who else, in addition to Joseph and Mary, among their immediate family, were anticipating His arrival? We know the shepherds anxiously awaited after being told by the angels. The wise men took on the mission of witnessing his arrival no matter how long it took them to travel and find him. Anna, who never left the temple, and worshiped there night and day, upon meeting Jesus with his parents, gave thanks to God and reveled in all who had looked forward to his arrival and His redemption which would follow. Simeon had been promised that he would not die before he met the Messiah. And upon meeting Him, he praised God for his promise saying, “My eyes have seen your salvation which You have prepared in the sight of all nations.”

How are you anticipating Jesus to come this Christmas season? Perhaps you have a friend or loved one, as we do, who still needs to know and understand why we trust in knowing that Jesus came, and why we anticipate His 2nd coming. Like the herald angels “harked” (i.e. pay very close attention – special announcement),

We wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas, and many blessings on your new year to come. We are grateful for many of you who help us HARK the good news to the nations!

As we continue to support our team in Tijuana, sharing the Gospel in practical ways with food and basic needs, we could sure use your help. Our monthly support to the team (including our monthly scholarships for continued education) goes out each month but less and less comes in to cover. Could we ask you once again to maybe share our brochure with a friend who may be interested in helping us each month.  And would you consider supporting us monthly, or even with a one-time gift, if you are not already doing so?  We would so appreciate this. Continuing this work through your support, is how we get it done.  Thank you!!!

Can you think of one friend or family to tell about VOB? Or whisper their name in our ear and we could reach out.  We are praying and asking the Lord to send us a few new supporters.
